2012 125th Anniversary of Softball

The great game of softball started in Chicago at the Farragut Boat Club...in 1887 on a Thanksgiving Day while bored alumni of Harvard and Yale waited the ticker tape scores of their football game...wrapped up a boxing glove and starting hitting with a broom stick. In celebration of that event, the Hall of Fame Board led by Ron Kubicki are working hard to attract the funding to start the build of the museum in Forest Park.

You can help by buying a brick, become a dinner sponsor or run an ad at the dinner on April 14th. There are thousands of past and current players...just think 1000 bricks will pay for the museum...please consider helping so we can describe our great sport's history and recognize the hall of fame players. Thanks

I played as a teen agger and we wore steel spikes and did not use any gloves and DIDNOT LOB the ball high in the air and let it then FALL over the plate. We, I, pitched a little faster and were allowed to put spin on the ball. You had to be a hitter to play and then the game got ruined , This BS of Equality. so everyone could play. BS if you could play you did if not you watched.
